Our Field Trip to the Zehrs Cooking School
Greetings,
Last Friday we had a fantastic day as we travelled to the City of Windsor to take part in the Zehrs Cooking School for Kids Program. We had a quick tour of the store, enjoyed a cookie from the bakery, visited with Larry the Lobster and sampled some fruit from the deli. Then we headed upstairs to the cooking school where we made our own pizza and decorated a cupcake. Delicious! A special thanks to all of the wonderful parents who followed us and joined us on our adventures throughout the day.

Welcome to our Blogging Buddies

This week our classroom blog will be the focus for discussions. We look forward to chatting with our new friends and learning new things.
We wanted to share a map of our country, Canada, with you and show you where we are located in Canada with a happy face. Did you know that Canada is the second biggest country in the world? Each day we will find one fun fact about Canada to share with you.
On Monday, May 22nd we celebrated Queen Victoria Day which is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday before May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. We had a day off of school.

A Special Guest
Greetings,
On Tuesday 1F students were treated to a special visit from Mr. Colasanti as our classroom was magically transformed into a greenhouse. We worked on a "Top Secret" assignment with Mr. Colasanti and are very excited to bring our project home.

Dance with Kate Murray
Greetings,
A former Gosfield North graduate, Kate Murray, has opened a dance studio in Cottam called Mind & Body Studio. Kate visited Gosfield North last Friday and taught each class some simple dance moves. It was great fun and fantastic exercise.
