Harmful to the Earth Slideshow
Greetings,
During the past week we have been discussing the importance of taking care of our Earth so that all living things can continue to flourish. We have decorated grocery bags for Essex Foodland to promote this message and will be making banners tomorrow with similar messages to display throughout our school. Students have been encouraged to bring in a garbage free lunch on Thursday and we will attempt to do as many activities as possible with the lights out. 1F students were particularly moved by this video and asked that I share it on our blog so they could show their parents too.
Thanks for your continued support of our program.

Structures, Structures, Structures
Greetings,
During the past month we have been very busy little scientists investigating in our science unit called "Materials, Objects, and Everyday Structures. We learned to identify the materials that make up objects and structures and to distinguish between man made materials and those found in nature. We discussed why certain materials work better than others and experimented with different kinds of fasteners. Do you know what kind of fastener is in the picture above?
We finished up our science unit with a fun afternoon of building with a variety of structure toys.
Enjoy the show!
